Service

Mood: Determined
Status: Talking to myself inwardly

Okay.. Everyone who's actually reading my boring blog.. I'm really sorry that it took a freaking long time for me to update a single thing about my life for the past uh... I don't know for how many months.. It's not that I'm busy, well, I actually am for once for two months.. It was because I am friggin lazy and won't move my lazy fingers to work on this post.. Since yesterday, I was telling myself to bloody hell update something on the blog or I will.. I will bloody hell not be online at all... And so... With that at stake I finally updated...

So, I'm going to update stuff from January until now and it will be one hell of a long post.. So... Be prepared.. Here goes.

HAPPY READING!!! *evil laugh*

National Service
I'm updating every single thing happened to me there... Okay... Not all of them actually... Since, no one bothered asking me what happened to me there... Well, sometimes people can't help but get lazy... And really lazy...

Day 1 - Everything was so blur for me that day, maybe it's because it's been so long since then... I only know the feeling of lost, hopelessness, loneliness... I was all by myself that day.. Shunned as everyone there got friends.. No school mates got in the same camp as me... I just followed everyone.. In the end I got in the yellow group.. I was the only person that got in that dorm that day... The beds were a sore sight... Saliva marks on the pillow's with black specs of duck that won't even go away when I slammed it down on the bed. The bed oh... There are water marks and I don't even want to know how did it got there..... The food there was damn spicy and all I did was drink and drink and drink... The only thing I learn there the first day was to waste a lot of food... After lunch... I spent my time unpacking and then after that.. I tried making friends which was such a failure since everyone already got their buddy beside them... The shower... The water is freaking cold! There's no lock, no hooks to hang our clothes on... That instant, I don't know how the hell am I going to survive two months there... Oh, my phone kept dying on me again... Then I feel asleep at 10 without any problem that night, probably I was too tired from running around all day... It was the first time I ever slept that early.. *Laughs* Then my dorm mate had to wake me up at 11.40 something and said something about being scared.. She wanted to sleep with her friend at the next dorm so I think she was afraid that I'm the only one alone in the room... Yeah.. There were only two people in the whole dorm that day... So I followed her and slept at the next dorm on a bed without a single sheet... Wow. I must be really tired..

Day 2 - Woke at 5 and got ready.. There's nothing to do there but to wait and wait and wait for the next batch to come that day.. I was so bored I actually did my theory homework! Is the world coming to an end? And in the end I gave because I had no clue what the question was asking me to do... It was pure torture! Then new dorm mates arrived! Yes and fortunately for me a girl was lost since the dorm she was assigned to was full because an Indian girl decided to switch dorms without the teacher's permission. So, I met some somewhat new friends.. and I was relieved.. I don't even know if I'm suppose to feel like that. That night, our hand phone got compensated and my pockets feel empty... *Laughs* Then they let us watch a pointless movie that I can't even SEE a single thing since everyone was freaking blocking my view. And it was one of their methods to 'brainwash' us anyway.. After the movie, it was bed time. *Snorts* They treated us like school kids!

Day 3 - There was no instruction given. The orders were messy. I don't understand a single word some of the trainers said. We were ordered to wear our 'postman' uniform and got in the assigned classes, form groups and you know what we did? We did the same thing as the other motivational seminars out there! I mean what the hell?! You ask us to come here and listen to this load of crap?! I was pretty much tongue-tied the whole day.. I ain't fluent in Malay and not one Malay there is fluent in English! But surprisingly, we cooperate well in our group of 3 Chinese n 3 Malay. I felt exhausted by wearing the clothes and during the night, we had another pointless talk again.

Day 4 - I forgot what I did that day. I only found out some girls wearing contacts and make up.

Day 5 - Ok.. Seriously... this is taking too long... I'm gonna do it in point form this point onwards... No objections? If there are, well, tough luck, I'm the web mistress here and you don't have the right to. *Evil laugh*
- Someone heard something or someone screamed at 12 last night.
- Some said that it's not a person, but those things and they want to make friends with  the people who heard the scream.
- Thank goodness, I didn't hear anything.

Day 6 - Got back phone.
- Freedom! At last!

Day 7
- Went back to camp at 12, saw quite a lot of trainees crying when they see their family. For me, it was awkward seeing them, I don't even have anything to say.
- One of my friend wanted to go back, so she applied for January intake for accounts.
- So, I practically rot the whole day after my family went home but was kinda afraid of the upcoming activities.
- In the end, our captain lucky drawed our company and the name was Bravo, second in the four companies of Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. Our flag logo, a shark with weird cheers but everyone was still so hyped up for it.

Day 8 - Unknown as I didn't bother to jot down any notes.

Day 9 - Classes as usual and my friends was shifted to my class, trainers said she as misplaced when it's not. Well, at least I have a friend there.
- Classes ended, had lunch and went back to our dorm. I was shocked when I got back as my other friend was already packing her stuff.
- Had a bleep test, which was running back and forth following a recorded beep sound that gets fasted by the round. In the end, I got still level 4.5, which was quite low.
- During night time, we had another video viewing, a guy who claims himself as the police came and interrogated my dorm mates including me since someone freaking lost 50 dollars while there's still 20 dollars in her purse. Well, it doesn't bloody make sense, which stupid thief doesn't stole all the money in the purse?!
- Then that stupid guys had to tell us that we were going down to the police station for one night, and said it would give a disadvantage when applying for collages or universities. And the idiot me I had to burst into tears of fear since I don't understand a single word he is saying. The guy is freaking DEAF too. I really hated and started cursing that girl who freaking lost her money! It was her fault in the first place when she was stupid enough NOT to lock her locker! She might replace it but was stupid enough not to remember it!
- Now I have a crime record in something I didn't bloody DO!

Day 10 - Had classes until 6.30! BORING!
- During night, everyone slept and I was the last one. I didn't dare to say it out but before drifting off into my dreams, I somehow felt something slapped the top of my head. I don't know if it's my reflexes relaxing or... But of course, I ignored it and went to sleep.

Day 11 - Classes as usual but I allowed to skip as I was called to the medic for a checkup, in the end I found out that I became short by 2 Cm's and remained the same weight which I find it heavy. *Frown* Then is rained. Really heavy but I was happy, I don't have to go for classes. So, me and my friend waited for like uh.... 2 hours? Then we ran... Ran for the food! *Laughs*
-Gathered back at 5.30 and some people volunteered to plant things while the others had free time but they don't allow us to go back to our dorm, so we fooled around for a bit while doing some free-lancing exercise.. Owh... My stomach hurts so much from laughing.
- Went Buddha class at night, it's quite interesting but it still puts me to sleep...

Day 12 - Day started with raining. One of my friend went back for medical checkup and won't be back to the camp till Sunday. Lucky bugger...
- Classes are getting a lot more worse and I wished I was still back at the small group before since we changed classes for the new module. We were forced to get a 'buddy'. And I hated the girl.. She's self-centered and acted like I'm not in front of her, like I didn't even exist! She showed her dance moves to the boys behind me. Not that I care about it, but it's just annoying where she didn't do her job of assisting me! When I saw her dancing, I can't help but think of shoving her face towards the wall. We were taught how to juggle. It's quite useless I'd say, who would juggle for work position in the future?!
- I got a little bit pissed off during lunch. 'They' got to eat beef while 'we' were stuck eating back chicken meat. 'They' called this 'enter slogan here' where 'they' eat something 'we' prayed at while 'we' can't even eat much less touch the thing 'they' aren't allowed to eat with 'their' presence.
- This is called fair in this country. Heh. I still wonder why we didn't destroy each other yet.

Day 13 - Classes again. Bored.

Day 14 - Listened to a 4-hour long pointless talk about money management. Hey, even if you don't have this kind of talk, I'll save more money then any of them. It was boring all the way and I even threatened to kill the talker silently.

Day 15 - Went to the temple and we played games. One of them was throwing stuff toys to a random person and the 'lucky' one had to answer some questions about the trainees there.
- At first, I dodged everyone of the little evil toys, then the next round, the woman threw a toy to another side of the group and while I was distracted that evil EVIL woman got me. I was then publicly humiliated in front of hundreds of people.
- Went back to camp and changed into the uniform as my company was in duty that day for welcoming the parents. Wore boots that were 1 tonne heavy and my toe hurts after standing for so long.
- Screamed my voice box out as I yelled out 'Hi' and 'Bye' all the way for 2 hours. Thank goodness there were no Sun that day but my friends had a little red triangles on their necks. Well, I had a little too.
- Video watching again at night.

Day 16 - Classes again and I almost went nuts!

Day 17 - Was forced to perform in front of the class. In the end we had to idea what to do and we just sang. Sang for a freaking long 7 minutes.
- Had a pulling game, somewhat like the game of tug of war. It was balancing a flat triangle with a person standing in the middle. The triangle and the person was not allowed to touch the ground. Then, we were the first team to finished but we didn't win and got number two due to too many penalties.
- Then we got back our phone for Thaipusum during night time. When we went back to our dorms I was informed that the dorm next door had lost a new phone. Apparently, someone took the phone when we were busy taking out phones. We were spot checked again. Twice this week............

Day 18 - Phone got compensated again and the day passed by without events but only sleeping in the dorms.

Day 19 - Everyone got cheated when they say classes was officially over but another similar module started that only changed the name.
- One word. 'Pointless'! I almost slept in class.

Day 20 - Got my back card.
- Listened to a talk about PLKN card that gives discounts in certain stores. In the end I didn't buy as we had to pay like 4 dollars each month to keep it alive.

Day 21 - Went temple again.
- Slept with sweat while waiting for parents.
- The past few days was hot hot hot!!! I'm going to have a heat stroke if it goes on like this...
- Woke up unknowingly at 3 and I can't go back to sleep.. It's a first for me in my life... Don't know why but I listened to my MP4 until morning to avoid my mind on thinking 'other' stuffs...

Day 22 - Classes again...
- Was forced to have a rehearsal for the OPENING of the camp... After that, others were free to go while those who have to go to Putrajaya for an event had to stay behind.
- Listened to a 2 hours talk about Malay poems.... I literary sweat dropped... I almost slept as they sang their songs...
- At night, everyone sang their hearts out so that they can go back to their dorms early to hit the sack due to some trainees had to wake up at 3 am the next day...
- Went back at 10.30, tried to sleep but 'they' wouldn't shut up. I was cursing them until I slept and they were the one's who were supposed to sleep early!
- Disturbed at 3 am... The trainers weren't even considerate about us who were sleeping let alone the trainees...

Day 23 - Classes was quiet as half of the class went for the event.
- Had a somewhat successful opening ceremony then everyone went to the obstacle field.. Everyone was actually thinking that we are finally able to DO something physical...
- Well, it's 'physical' alright... We can't touch let alone play the obstacles there but one of the boys was playful and fell into the dirty, yellowish and bug-filled water...
- Took the challenge to build a hut but no instructions were given and me and my friends felt so helpless...
- 2 hours of talk again, continuing yesterdays... Was forced to go on stage to perform something I don't know what are they saying... Was awkward and didn't even win...

Day 24 - Folded paper cranes for classes as there was a project on creating products with paper cranes.
- I already miscounted how many cranes I had folded but I know it was more than a hundred... and I swear that I would not fold a single one until 3 years had passed...
- Later, we listened to first aid talk... Saw disturbing pictures but after that, nothing went into my mind... It kinda drifted off...
- Buddha classes at night
- Boys were punished to lie on the floor as someone scribbled wordings on the timetable...

Day 25 - Classes again. Won creativity part for the paper crane project.
- A playful weather, had to run back and forth to retrieve back our clothes..
- Learnt navigation with compass, well, I didn't learn anything at all as they only give us one compass for 15 people...
- Buddha classes at night and talked about family...

Day 26 - Last day of the module! People cried and was asked to write a letter to our family to thank them, so I wrote a poem and sent it... Then you know what happened? Some of my friends didn't even sent the letter... So guess what.. I regretted ever sending that letter...
- Finally received 150 bucks in my account...
- Boring day again...
- Had a chat with friends and found out that I AM too serious when I'm not with friends... Notice that I used am instead of was....

Day 27 - I woke up automatically at 5... And I'm the first one at that.. For me I was allowed to wake up at 5.30... And that I was horrified that my body clock was set permanently!
- Then for our activity, we had another talk again... So.. Everyone was forced to wait for the talker who arrived 1 hour late.
- Apparently, It was another talk about using the fire extinguisher which was thought every year during our primary and secondary... We went thought it for like 11 years and we had to go through it again... And I almost slept...

Day 28 and so on - I forgot what I did... I think I was so hyped up for going back home for the Chinese New Year celebrations and I didn't had time or even bother to write...

~~

Forget about days already... So, I'll go by the date instead... *Chuckles nervously*

16/2 - Theory class for shooting from 8.30 am to 12.30 am...
- Pointless explaination when we found out that all we had to do that day was lie down and press the trigger...
- Had a chance to hold the gun and took the chance to snap a picture but my batts ran out of juice and I  flopped on the spot, weak and I did literary do that... Everyone said I was dead... But at least someone help me took a shot from their camera but I wasn't able to get it from him, seeing that he didn't bother uploading it on net...

17/2 - Morning, A friend told me that her dorm mates heard someone crying behind the dorm in the middle of the night... So, I got goosebumps and assume that they heard wrong and it had nothing to do with me...
- Went to the shooting field which we had to climb up and run down the hill just to get there... I was Detail 12 and target 10...
- I was wondering what to use, it's either my left hand or my right hand... So in order to save anymore jobs... I picked the right hand... since left hander might have a risk of the bullet scarring the face...
- I was very unsatisfied... VERY.... I came out sulking and wanted to punch the woman who was in charged of me.... Everyone bloody got 20 bullets while I only got  freaking 8! Curse her!!!!

18/2 - Rode the flying fox today... And thank goodness, the Sun wasn't so vicious!
- Boys did the propelling or up-scaling I don't know....
- Wore the full harness and it's weird....
- It was short.... But relaxing since you can feel the wind at your face...
- When I was finished, I waited for the trainer to 'release' me only to find out that the buckle was stuck... One of the trainer fasten it too tight... Even boy trainees wasn't able to unwind it... So, I waited for them to unwind it for like 15 minutes... It's hot under the two layers of clothes plus wearing the harness makes it tripled hotter...

19/2 - I was lazy after that.... So I didn't manage to write down anything except in a very VERY short note..
- I think we did the DKRT game... It's kinda like a game where you form your own country and try to conquer other countries and protect your own... No one was allowed to make a noise or they will deduct marks... By far our group was the only one that didn't deduct any marks...
- Everyone took off their shoes and socks to build our territory... It was okay... Since the grass is dry and not muddy... So, everyone went crazy to get stuffs from other country and make it ours...
- So, in the end, every country unite and form a big country... It's somewhat like a meaning to show that making a country isn't that easy...

20/2 - Sunday... Family day...

21/2 - Water exercise... I thought it was finally the time to kayak or canoe....
- But it turns out all we were going to do that day was float on the water.....
- We had to find ways to let our shoes dry by the next activity which was on the same day...

22/2 - Water exercise again...? I think...

23/2 - I forgot what I did, but I remembered that we did the obstacles exercise that day... I failed on the monkey bar block...I don't know when was that... and then, another day we did one again, and I passed the monkey rack... *Laughs*

24/2 - We had marching and navigation again... It was pointless since it was only the reason to let us rest for tomorrow...

25/2 - Competition that day... I failed on the monkey rack again... And was kinda disappointed. Finished the race... and waited for the results... Then they announced that we got the forth place and that just added some salt into my wounds.. I told myself not to cry... Then my friends around me had to ask if I'm crying or not... Then, my water works bursts and the sight was not that pretty... But you know what? We got first.. The commander was playing a joke on us...

26/2 - Community service.... I despised that term... If its about going to old folks home or the orphanage I'm still okay with it... But picking up trash for the village was just out of the world... I mean, don't they have hands and feet, why must WE do all the picking.... And sacrifice my skin to the Sun... When I head back, my skin was so tanned that I could even see the markings... You know why is happened? Because they let us stay there until freaking 3 or 4 pm to watch them play pointless games.... While the earlier batch gets to go back to camp first... After heading back to the dorms, we just had a half an hour rest and we had to go out again for another activity... I hate them!!!

27/2 - Family day.

28/2 - Finally they let us kayak or canoe or whatever! I was so excited for it! It was fun and awesome than any other activity there, only... That stupid trainer let us row for like 15 minutes and asked us to row back to shore.... Other like took their sweet time and gets to go for like double turns! That's so unfair! But... The world is unfair at the first place...

1/3 - Again with the water exercises but only this time we took another batch which is the building the boat-like thingy.. Then it rained... No one did anything after that... Well, others did. Me and my friend just sat there chatting...

2/3 - Marching exercise... Had nothing to do..

3/3 - Marching competition.... We got third place because our formation was too plain...

4/3 - Talk show again.... At this point, it's obvious that there nothing left to do here... We had a whole day of it... And I wanted to slash the guy's throat...

5/3 - Blood donation... Boring day... And then, our flag had to be stolen by our teacher... And to make it worse, the boys took it back without the teacher's room by 'breaking' in...

6/3 - Sunday...

7/3 - Had another talk again and this one just gave me a heart attack... It's about HIV/AIDS and it includes... Yeah... Sex... *Shudders* And the image just burns my eyes let alone my mind....

8/3 - Another talk about anti-drugs.... Slept to death.

So, that concludes it! It took me like 3 or 4 days to update everything! *Laughs* And that's that longest post ever!!! I went back early by the way... And had piano theory test on Monday... I failed at the composing and the Italian and German terms... My mind just went blank...

So... If you want photos, you can see it here, but.. You have to friend me... It's locked for friends only..
